Project Life Challenge - add Twine!

Hi there back with a challange today over at Stuck On U Sketches...Come PLAY along!
You can see all designers pages here:
Here is my Project Life page where I add twine to two tags.

I had a lot fun with this page. When my 21 year old was little he played ball all his life it seemed
so when he stopped it was a shock for me. My life became my own lol
No more year around ball and traveling for tournaments.

Now that my lil guy is here and my honey Coaches Varsity baseball for the local highschool
it seems baseball has come back into my life.
Funny to say but I missed being at a game!

For this page I used cards from Me & My Big Ideas
you can find their website here:

I purchased my cards at Michael's. I used the good ol fashion way of cutting
and adding bits of other cards to make my own.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will join us over at Stuck On U Sketches!

I'm really liking the whole idea of making time for myself to create.

It also challanges me to use my imagination on adding the specific challange item.

Happy Crafting!

Gelatos & Oil Pastels Review

Happy Thursday Crafters!

I am still very new to the craft/scrapbook world.
What I'm learning is what I will be sharing with you today.

If you follow crafty instagramers or crafty blogs you will know that
these gelatos are really in!

I wanted to try them and see what all the fuss was about.
While shopping for the gelatos I also ran across the oil pastels.

These are the packages below.

The inside of the gelatos package. (Below)

Lots of goodies inside for you to try!
I used my 50% coupon at Mikes and got the Gelatos for $12!! Steal right!?

Look what arrived... my lucky SC box!

I joined an online self paced class called Happy Little Moments and the kit I purchased was by Maggie Holmes.  The kit is what I will use to decorate my book.

This is an old book that I will make into my own story filled with all my happy lil moments!

Lets get down to buisness... the real reason your reading my post.

This page I used the gelatos.
They are soooo smooth! They feel great and glide on your paper like butter!
The words love I did not rub on water, i left it alone.
The upper and lower area of the pages I took some water with a paintbrush to get a water color effect.

These are the Gelatos and I added some water to try and get the ink to run.
It will look like a pretty background once I add pictures and embelishments.

Here below are the Oil Pastels

These are like using crayons. They are fun to use and the colors are very vibrant. They appear on paper like crayons aswell.

So if your intrested in these I found them at Barnes & Nobles for $6.95 (cheap too!)

I def love both for different reasons. If I had to pick one I would def go for the Gelatos since you can get the water color effect or leave them as is.

I will def post more once I actually get a chance to decorate my book!

Thanks for stopping by!

The ladies are so super nice and so welcoming!

It was really fun creating this Project Life Page because I got my
daughter involved. She was able to write down her memories of the day.
I know when she is grown her kids are going to love seeing her handwriting!!

The challange was to add a button to your Project Life Page.
Thank goodness Jane from Jane's Doodles sent me some free buttons
when I ordered some stamps from her.

You can ck her buttons and stamps here:

Never knew that finding a FUN hobby like this would introduce me to soo many
wonderful friends!

I appreciate each and everyone of you for coming by my blog!

Layout using Studio Calico's Scrapbook Kit

Hello Papercrafters!

So if your not familar with Studio Calico I will let you know they are papercraft company who supplies their customers with monthly kits.

I got my first kit and totally waited til the end of the month to make a layout.
I feel bad that I did not open this box sooner
Take a peek.....

The above picture has a filter and the below picture does not infact it was 3am when I finished this page!

I used a a picture that my son posted on his instagram. He works in the City and is such a hard worker.
I wanted to capture his daily life with this page and how proud I am of him.

His tag line is "You can catch me in the Bay! Workin hard everyday!" just love him and the
hardworking person he has become.

I used Mr. Hueys to color the letters "The Bay"

I used a project life overlay that I got from my class with Shanna Noel to go over my picture.

Above is the materials I had to work with and I used them all!

Last but not least here are some wine glasses I made last night. I blame them for getting me into this
crazy craft world!
Without that lil Cricut I would have not met so many wonderful new crafty friends!

Cheers!

Jossie :)

Card Swap! Heidi Swapp!!

Hello!
My goodness its been over a moth since I last blogged!
I have been so busy with my daughter's senior ball, we have a new baby in our family, cheer tryouts, National Scrapbook at Michael's and my nephew's wedding!
So many awsome things to celebrate- I truly feel so bleesed!

Enough of that lets get crafty!

So I hosted my first card exchange with some awsome ladies on Instagram.
A card swap is where you make a homemade card and you also recieve handmade cards. Its really fun and the theme was "Happy Birthday"

I decided card swap....well ofcourse I had to use some of my Heidi Swapp materials.

I really loved the way it came out!

I used a paperclip w/ adhesive to get everything layered.

The stamp "happy birthday" comes from my Stamps of life - lady bug collection.

The "girl" stamp is from the fabulous girls from Glitz Designs.

If you notice to the left that was my attempt at using colorshine and Heidi Swapp stencils.

Oh and the best news....

I am finally a lucky Studio Calico Girl!

My honey was I think as happy as I was!
He says are you in a competition with our neighbors as to who gets more packages?

Last but not least my wonderful finds at Michael's
Oh how I just love that store!

These date and phrase stamps are $4.99 and are a lot of fun!

Have a wonderful weekend!

xoxo,

Project Life Crop with Shanna Noel from Studio Calico

Well Hello !

Sharing some pictures and some papercrafts that I made this last week.
Life has been super busy now that I have found myself a hobby!

This photo is of my girlfriend Teresa and I.

I met her at the last Amy Tan class and through Instagram.
We had so much fun getting to know eachother and sharing our love for Project Life.

Do check out her shop on Etsy!

Here is Shanna who was again so sweet and fun!
It was really cool, she showed all her tips and tricks that she uses on her album.

Here is Barbara and Shanna having some fun with water color!
It looks pretty awsome!

You can check out Barbara on her blog here:

Her Project Life pages are really fun to look at.

Teresa and I had fun too! I think we did more talking than cropping!

So here is the page I created at the crop.

Below is a layout I did with my first Studio Calico kit.

I am hoping my layouts get better as I do more. This one here is probably my 4th layout I have made in my life! lol

SN@P! demo at Michaels this past Sunday. Here is my table and I was told to just make an album.
Fun Right!? Getting paid to CREATE!?

I loved all their products! I def recommend if you would like to start project life you use one of these albums! Its a mini album like the one I use.

Here is a page I created.

Last but not least is a card I made. Dont laugh remeber I'm new to this thing called Papercrafts!
ok now you can laugh :)

This card was for my daughter's 12 year old friend and she liked it! So that was my mission.

The inside

Falling in LOVE with Project Life!

This layout I'm sharing today is from my craft party that was back in February.

I was part of a Project Life Tag Swap with @cynthia90 & @arcyscraps
and these are some of the tags I received. These two girls are very creative and make wonderful cards!

You can find them here:

I used one card to journal and added the mustache to it as I had everyone where either a pink or blk mustache :)

I made the banner for my girfriend Sara and I never got around to making one for myself!
So at least I have a picture of it!

I really love the way these journal cards and pictures fit perfect.

Would you like some Hot Pink in your life......?

This lil machine really makes snowcones with just a push of a button!

Yummy!

Here is my Bella enjoying hers!

My new find at typo... finally had a chance to use them.
These are erasable highlighters that are awsome. Found them on the clearance table!
I will post a picture later but def have a lot of plans for these in my near future!

Happy Crafting!
